Jay was slightly surprised that she would say that to her mother. He gave her gentle smile and said, "Everyone does something to hurt their parents at sometime. I suppose you are better than what i did... all i am going to say is... i said something and then ran away at age of six... and that hurt both of my parents." He winced. he hated the fact that he had hurt his parents by that. He gave her a hug and said, "i don't think that you are some stupid girl for crying. I think that it is good that you do show that sort of emotions. "

rose continued to sniffle a little bit as she listened to jamie speak. she accepted his hug and she closed his eyes. "thank jamie." she said with a whisper. her eyes were still closed she exhaled slowly. rose enjoyed being in his arms and when she thought that, she opened her eyes. rose pulled back from the hug with a spare tear flowing down her cheek. and she wasn't sure what made her do it but she kissed him. he has nice lips she thought to herself.
once she realized what she was doing rose opened her eyes and her mouth fell open. "oh my god." rose said mortified. she got up and walked over to the other side of the courtyard. a hand over her mouth and a large blush across her face, rose wanted to face palm herself from embarrassment.

Jay was shocked when Rose kissed him. There was this moment of 'is this really happening?' which changed to ' how do i feel about this? How I feel about her?' thoughts were racing through his head, soon enough he had heard her say, 'Oh my god'. he blinked a few times. He didn't know what to think but his mouth ended up saying, "Rose... Wait!" before he found himself running over to her. Jay removed her hand from her mouth before giving her a kiss himself. When he realized what he had done, he was surprised with himself. and a blush crept across his cheeks.

rose heard him call her name. the next thing she knew he was standing in front of her removing her hand. his lips were on hers and the feeling of the 'this being right' came back. she put a hand on his cheek as their lips locked. it was definite that she had feelings for jamie. otherwise she wouldn't have kissed him, but did he feel the same?

Jay soon become comfortable in his decision to kiss her back.All those thoughts he had that was doubtful, went away. In his mind he was quite sure he had some feelings for her. but he was normally hesitant to act upon it. He was afraid to let his feelings show because every time he showed love for someone, he was afraid something bad was going to happen. So normally he kept his focus on his music. He wondered if he could go back to that, but then again... perhaps he didn't want to.
He broke the kiss, perhaps almost reluctantly. He muttered "Wow... " He smiled softly as he had said that. He didn't know what he could say at the moment. But then again, there was no need for words.

rose was in pure bliss. his lips seemed to fit perfectly with her. however the kiss was short lived. when he muttered wow she smiled. however she then bit her lip. "um i'm sorry about that." she said looking down. he probably had only kissed her back to try and make her feel better. rose was sure he didn't like her. why would he after all?

His smile gotten bigger when she smiled after what he had said. but his smile faded after she apologized. "What are you apologizing for Rose? there is no need for apologizing for a kiss." He winked and said in a low voice, "besides... i liked it... alot." but he meant that he liked her alot, not just the kiss. but he just couldn't say that. but the look in his eyes was trying to say it for him.

rose looked up at jamie for a second as he started to speak but then looked back down. she heard him say he liked the kiss and it made her smile. "well who wouldn't like kissing?" rose asked. he may have liked the kiss but that didn't mean he liked her. she turned around to look at the scene in front of her. "i was apologizing because i was caught up in the moment." she said. it pained her to no end to say that, but she was certain he didn't like her.

Jay laughed and said, "good point, but there are some who don't enjoy kisses i suppose." He shrugged it off. "Don't go apologizing for living in the moment Rose... It is what makes life fun. I liked that you were living in the moment... i strive to do that alot. " He was being honest.Sure he was a big dreamer... but he was also a big believer in making each day count. "but what i meant to say before is... i like you." he looked away after saying that

rose kept her head down as he spoke. living in the moment was most of the time a dangerous thing. it could lead to a broken heart. she listened to what he said next and it made her look up. "you like me?" she asked. "thanks jamie. but you don't have to joke around to make me feel better." rose said. she turned and walked away a bit. he was a seventh year and she was only a fifth year. how could he like her? she didn't even really do anything to make him like her. well she had kissed him, did that mean he only liked her because of the kiss?

Jay nodded lightly and said, "yes... i have.. for a while... but i suppose it's fine of you don't believe me." He was kinda hurt that she was not believing him. he sighed and said seriously,"i was not joking around" Jay picked up his guitar and placed it on his back. "i should go..." It was sorta awkward for him so he was trying to leave. he walked a little away.

rose heard him speak and she wasn't looking at him, but she could hear the pain in his voice. she heard his foot steps walking away and it compelled her to stop him. she turned around and yelled "stop!" rose ran over to him and flung her arms around his neck. she gave him a really big kiss holding him close. once she pulled away from the kiss slowly rose opened her eyes and smiled. "i like you too jamie." rose said with a smile.

Jay stopped when she said for him to stop, against his better judgment. But it turned out to be a good decision to stop. When Rose had flung her arms around his neck, Jay's arms automatically wrapped around her in a close embrace. He kissed her back happily.But of course the kiss was never long enough in his opinion. but he smiled softly at her. She liked him too? that made him happy. "Oh? really? that makes me feel special, honestly."

rose smiled when he said it made him feel special. "well it better." rose said sticking her tongue out a little. she giggled and bit her lip. "i'm sorry i didn't believe you." she said. she ran her fingers through his hair and she sighed. he made her so happy. rose brought her lips to his one more time. she figured she'd let him break the kiss this time. she brought a hand to his cheek and gently stroked it with her thumb.
