A quiet saturday evening had led her out onto the grounds with her crystal ball. Her head had been a mess as of late and she just wanted things to be simple. Life to be simple. She was so busy with potion orders that she had barely had time to herself.
Zara sat down on the ground near the forest and put the crystal ball in front of her. From a young age she had possesed the gift of sight into the future but not many people knew that. Usually she was the bitch who believed she could do divination. If only they knew the real her.

Jerad just felt like wandering the grounds before the supposed curfew he was meant to help enforce. He was wearing jeans and a zipped up hoodie. He couldn't be bothered with the stupid uniform on the weekends. but he did have his pin on him somewhere. He was often teased by his bandmates about the pin.Once or twice they had changed the word from Prefect to Prick or worse. But of course Jerad had gotten them back badly.
up ahead he spotted Zara with her crystal ball. He unlike most believed her when it came to her having the gift. he just walked over and said, "good evening Zara" he had a small smile on his face when he saw her.

Zara looked up to see her friend. "Hey Jerad." she greeted him. This was one of the only people in the castle that she could actually stand. He knew her and he still spoke to her and although it was weird Zara like it. They played Quidditch together and she always felt pangs of happiness around him.
"If you don't give me detention I will tell you your future or read your palm." Zara offered with a weak smile. She had felt so worn down lately and it was beginning to show. There were slight bags under her eyes from the night visions she had andthe late nights staying up. Life was hard and at the moment not much fun.

Jerad smiled and sat down on the grass near Zara. "Don't worry Zara... i won't give you a detention. it isn't past curfew yet. and besides it would be slightly hypocritical of me anyways... considering i came out here to relax and not to get people into trouble." He laughed lightly. Sure he wouldn't give her a detention, but he might get into trouble with the professors. He didn't mind it really. It was for a good cause... "how are you doing?" he asked. He did worry about her at times. He just wanted to make sure his friends were well. In his opinion, she needed to rest.

She smiled as he said he would not give her a detention. Zara was glad, she really didn't want to cope with anything right now. At the question how was she doing Zara thought about it quietly. "I've been better." she answered him gently. "Life has been replaying itself in my head a lot..." Jerad knew her past. It was something hard to forget and she always struggled in the run up to Christmas. "What about you? How have you been?" Zara played with the crystal ball nervously in her hands.

Jerad nodded in understanding."I hope you will see better days soon Zara" he said sincerely. In his opinion, Zara was a great person... if they gave her a chance to be and if she gave people a chance. He felt privileged that she would be nice to him.He winced as he thought about how horrid that would be. Only because he knew her past, so having it replaying in her head, in his opinion would be bad. "i have seen better days and worse days... The guys and i have been working on a set of new songs... so i accidentally have been shirking off homework. but i finally finished them before the professors could tell. Because i do want to pass my classes..." He shrugged after saying that.

Zara heard his words and she nodded. She hoped she saw better days two in both senses of the phrase. Zara continued to listen to her and smiled. "I hope things ease up and smooth out for you soon." Zara told him. She knew he would end up sailing through things. However this was Jerad's last year and of course it would be especially stressful and busy. "Let me know if there's anything I can do to help out." Zara's fingers laced over the crystal ball as her eyes darted down to it. Whenever she was caught alone like this there was always a void sort of look about her.

Jerad sighed gently said, "i fear things won't let up too much until i am out of school. And even then things probably pile up more..." Jerad was finally realizing how much things are going to pile up on him... no matter his chosen career path. But at least he thought he knew what he wanted to do. Or so he thought. Sure... the band was the forefront. but he also wanted to do something else. He may want to continue playing quidditch... or help his parents with their paper. "there is nothing you can do Zara... unless you know how to make more hours of the day..." he had said with a soft sigh. His eyes glanced over at her, geniunely curious, but he was not sure what to ask. He had noticed her eyes darting to the crysta ball.

She frowned as he said there was nothing she could do. Zara shrugged, "I could apply to the ministry for a time turner under the request of research purposes." That wasn't a full on lie. She had been debating applying in order to search for older potions ingredients. Things had died out along the way and if she could get her hands on some of them there could be endless possibilities.
Her eyes slowly became unfocused looking into the hazy ball which cleared for her. After a few moments they came back into focus and she frowned. "There's going to be some sort of big event here." Zara said looking up at him. "A lot of faces I didn't recognize."

Jerad raised his eyebrow. "but the history books say that all time turners were destroyed in the battle... but then again, that could of been one of the things that the ministry has lied about." He said in a low tone. He wasn't sure if he trusted the ministry sometimes."Hmm... interesting" he had said quietly. "what kind of event?" he asked curiously. It made him worry about what kind of event it could be.

Zara gae a small smirk. "Hun, sometimes it's about the people you know in order to get things." Zara knew the departments had been working on recreating outside of office hours. She then frowned again and shook her head. "I couldn't tell you J. My visions have been messed up lately. More frequent, but very messed up." It did worry her. She wanted to know exactly what she was dealing with but couldn't seem to reach it. The once she had been close Vincent had hexed her.

Jerad laughed and said "oh? smart. i suppose you know people who know people?" on the subject of the time turner stuff. " a charm or spell would be easier wouldn't it? because if you go back further than X amount of time you would have to relive it... and after a few days it wouldn't be worth it..." He would hate to have to go back more than a year and have to relive every moment... few hours... he was fine... but yeah... and the fact that time turners only go back in time... not forward...
"hmm i wonder what is causing your visions to be messed up? " said Jerad Curiously. Sure he was sure that she probably didn't know the answer to that... otherwise she would have tried to fix it right?
