Stillness. In a castle this grand, silence shouldn’t have been too difficult to find, but Dreavyn often found that others managed to make their way into every crevice. This was an exaggeration, of course, but the fifth year happened to love his time alone. He wasn’t so different from everyone else that he wished to be alone at all times, but he did wonder if all of the pretenses wore on his friends as much as they did on him. If he was to maintain his sanity, a little time alone was a necessity, so he made his way out to the small building that housed Hogwarts’ numerous boats during the year. The air was cold, but his winter cloak was enough to keep most of it at bay. Frankly, Dreavyn had never minded the cold much. He wasn’t about to run and play in the snow, but he certainly didn’t mind the solitude it offered.
The boy had gone out with his Defense book, intent on getting some studying done so long as he had a moment of peace. Dreavyn was relatively studious, though that was more for the love of magic than for high marks. In fact, he could sometimes grow obsessed with learning – particularly when it came to charms or transfiguration. If ever he had difficulty with one spell or another, Dre would throw himself obsessively into figuring out what he was doing wrong.
After reading for a while, however, that got a bit old, so the Slytherin was now lying on his back, nestled into one of the small boats with the book forgotten at his side. The craft rocked gently from side to side as the water moved and Dreavyn closed his eyes. Dreams weren’t something Dre had an abundance of. Ever since he was little, he’d had trouble remembering the few he knew he’d had. Perhaps this had something to do with his utter lack of imagination. He was far from poetic, though he had to admit that he did agree with any who believed water had a calming effect.
Soon enough Dre would grow bored and tire of the cold, though. Maybe then he would go find his sister, who, it seemed, he hadn’t caught up with in ages. For now, he didn’t mind the short reprieve from routine.

Electra had had quite enough of everyone in the castle. She had wandered the corridors quietly hoping to bump into Vincent for she had taken quite a shine to the vile werewolf. Of course it had not gone unnoticed and she hoped that no whispers had reached Draevyn. Her search had been unsuccessful and rather than retire to the common room which would most likely be littered with first years, El made her way onto the grounds.
Her dainty feet lead her towards the lake and Electra smiled. Perhaps later tonight she would go for a swim. A relaxing and tiring activity that would hopefully help her sleep better than she had been the past few nights. Electra had been able to go to sleep but that sleep did not last long. Within a few hours she would be awake and restless with to reason as to why.
Moving through the small structure of the boathouse, Electra walked past the boats before double taking on a figure laying in one. "Dreavyn, you'll catch a cold if you sleep out here." Dreavyn was the only person Electra truely cared about and depended on. After all for years all they had had was each other and if she lost her twin she wouldn't really have known what to do with herself. Electra climbed into a boat next to her twins and gave him a smile.

The corners of Dreavyn’s mouth turned up slightly when he heard his sister’s voice. This was partly because he was happy to hear from her and partly because when he’d heard her footsteps, he had been worried that whoever was walking by the docks would be a professor or worse, someone really annoying. He never really knew why socialization was so difficult for him, but the boy found he disliked more people than he liked. Sometimes he wondered if it wasn’t like that for others as well and they were just as good as he was at hiding it, but judging by his sister, it was doubtful.
“I’m not too concerned,” the Slytherin responded, shrugging slightly. Of course, he didn’t plan to sleep in a boat on the cold water, but if he did, he didn’t think that a cold would be the first of his worries. Then again, Dreavyn had never been very good at taking care of himself. Still, the prospects of a cold didn’t seem to bother her much either if she was planning on joining him. ”What brings you out here?” The irony of him thinking that it was strange for someone to come out to the cold boathouse didn’t escape him.
Dreavyn and Electra had a strange sort of relationship for siblings, he noticed, but that was to be expected considering their history. They had anything but a normal upbringing. Personally, Dreavyn didn’t see anything wrong with it. He knew that he could be overprotective at times, but he would happily die to keep her safe, so it balanced things out a bit, didn’t it?

"Well I'm rather concerned." Electra told him as her boat settled down and she looked at him. "I thought it would be nice to get out of the castle. Couldn't find any company I wanted in there." she explained. Who knew where Vincent actually was?
She saw the defence book next to him. "I take it you were out here studying." Electra commented. If anyone else had been out her watching them they'd have fund it weird. Electra was usually silent. She found it hard to talk to people for her head was always crammed full of thoughts. However with her brother Electra wasn't withdrawn and quiet. "I missed you." she added as an after thought.

Dreavyn didn’t find her concern to be at all surprising. It was just like his sister to think too much about things like that. He also wasn’t shocked by the inability to find good company but then… he was a cynic. Electra, on the other hand, usually seemed perfectly fine socializing. At least, that was how she’d seemed to him.
“Studying? Yes.” Dreavyn nodded, subconsciously touching the spine of the book. The boy spent a great deal of time studying, so he imagined that was what she’d expected. He didn’t do it to receive high marks, though that would prove to be a plus when he finally left Hogwarts. Instead, Dreavyn did it for the knowledge or, preferably, the abilities.
The Slytherin frowned slightly when she said she missed him. ”I know. I’ve been a bit absent… I’m sorry.” He wouldn’t offer an explanation unless she asked, though he hoped she wouldn’t. Dreavyn was naturally evasive, but his sister was the one person he usually didn’t attempt to keep things from. Still, if he thought it was for her own good, it couldn’t be helped.

"Nice place to come and study." Electra said. Electra shook her head at his comment. "Don't be sorry." Apologies were not needed between the pair. Sometimes Electra wondered if he wanted space away from her. After years maybe she was just smothering him. "Is there any reason?" El just wanted to know if he wanted the time away from her.
Her hands played with the tips of her long brown hair. Life had come to a stand still for her. There was nothing really interesting going on and it seemed that she was just drifting along. Like life was an ocean as she was just floating by. Not a feeling that she liked. Not at all.
