As weird as it might look to see a Greyback sing at all, in Nik’s mind, it couldn’t be any worse than the stiff clothes he had been wearing the last few days. That didn’t mean he wouldn’t be any less humiliated if someone was to cross him in such a moment, but at least singing made more sense than looking like an elitist prick. After all, even wolves were notorious for the act of howling to the moon. That was pretty much the same, right? Now Niku wasn’t the one to go around singing in the rain, like one of those gay musicals, but he had his moments where songs just slipped out. Luckily, he had the voice that wouldn’t shatter glass. Interestingly enough, that alone is surprising considering his accent and his occasional gruff tone.
However, about the time he started the third verse, his acute hearing picked up the light treading of shoes on the stone stairs leading to the room. As quick as a flick of a wand, the 7th year stopped and gave an inward wince, hoping whoever it was hadn’t heard much. He had forgotten the castle walls were as good at amplifying voice as any sound spell. Turning his head slowly to the door, his sapphire blue eyes focused on the shadowed figure. Not looking away, he reached into his suit jacket to bring out his wand and with a flash, the torches around the room lit up in blue flames, revealing the person at the door, even before she began to speak…
Even though he was embarrassed she had heard him, a smirk crept upon Nik’s clean face as his eyes never wavered from hers. A part of him was pleased she had come, mainly for the possibility of finally getting a taste of her. In the days they had known each other, Remy had denied him even the simplest kiss or gentle touch. Haha well slapping and knocking him around a bit didn’t count. As much as he enjoyed roughing it up, he found the opposite, especially with the girlies, just as satisfying…
Ugh. As he thought this, Nik was ready to beat himself up for such a sappy thought. What had she done to make him this INSANE! He had never went this far for a girl and now he was practically dressing and acting as if he were meeting the queen herself. As annoyed as he felt on the inside though, he did his best to hide it from his face, keeping it as cool as ice as Remy started to speak. If he was going to feel like an ass, he might as well have some fun in the process.
And then she complimented him…not what he had expected at all, to be honest. Unsure if there was some underlying plot running through that little mind of her, he plaid along, doing his best to remain in character. Allowing his smirk to transform into a smile, he shook his head as he spoke softly, “Well thank you, Ms. Andrews. Your way too generous..” He paused for a moment as he gracefully made his way to the threshold as he offered his hand, “What brings an angel like yourself to the tower this time of night? I doubt my singing reached your dorm?”
